Almost Famous Halloween Party

Ok in honor of two of my favorite directors (Cameran Crowe and Tim Burton), I thought it would be cool to have a Halloween party funraiser to attract attention, help a good cause, and have a lot of fun. We will need a site, some bands, and a lot of decorations. This could be a lot of fun to do. Please make our marketing meeting. I need all your help and ideas. I think it is more fun to be interviewed at a hot party, don't you. We have a dance studio in town, maybe they could host it. I have decorations to chip in and I am sure I could get Pizza/food donations from area vendors.

Start shopping/making your costumes now! Come to our meeting, and let's kick off "Daddy's Girl" in a big way.
BTW, check out our website: www.daddysgirlmovie.net

Joe is working on it now so it should be up and runnig by the time most of you read this.

Guys I feel loney with only 8 friends in my space, go to my site and add me as a friend. This is the best way to have your friends see the movie you are in and to network the film. My myspace is at www.myspace.com/daddysgirlmovie

Here is the link to the NY Film festival. Check it out. http://www.nyfilmvideo.com/2006/nynov2006/movieads.htm

Hello Mr. King.... This is Eryn's grandma. It is nice to see the trailer up and running. Also good to see it on the international film festival page. I just have one little complaint. On the cast names on the international film site , you have Eryn's name listed as Eryn Rice Marriane. I know you proably missed it when you edited but it would be nice to have the Marrianne part taken off so just her Eryn Rice name appears. Otherwise everything looks great. Congradulations to you!

No problem, I picked that up too. There is a spelling error too and a couple of names that need to be added. I will send an email request for a fix. The error was on their side as my copy is fine. I figure since it is their error, they would have no problem fixing it.

    Hey Sacha,

Hey Sacha, I tried to call you a couple of times but no one answered. I figured you were either taking a nap or in Puerto Rico with your mom. It's great to hear you can make it. I have a band already but I would love to have 3-5 bands so we can have music continuously and they get a break. I am looking into Fratellos for the site. I figure if we charge for the tickets and food, they can sell the alcohol and provide security (I want to make sure we have no incidents). If we do it in Manchester, we are sure to get WMUR to come for the event. I still need another week to finish the final cut so I really need everyones help to make this event go well. I would also like some things for a raffel. I thought of a tickel me Elmo, even a teenager would have fun with that, and when the fun wore off, they are sure to have a little brother/sister or niece/nephew to give it to. "IT's ALL GOOD"
    see ya

Much thanks to Lauren, Kevin, Sophie, Sacha, little Xavier and Jenn. We got a lot accomplished in a short time and you each had such great ideas, we really work better as a team. I will announce where we will have the party and we will need to start the tv and newspaper advertising in about 2 weeks. Please be available for an interview/TV appearance. I will get in touch with you once they are set up

More help needed for the party!

Hey guys, I have a core of people who will organize this event but we are going to need people to decorate, put up posters, clean up, and we want some entertainment too.

Please call me, I plan to have TV and print media cover this so it is a great way to do something for a good cause while also getting you some press too. A perfect win win. Please do not let the burden fall to the same people, this party will be fun for all.

Here is what we have so far:

Date Friday October 27 (we hope)
Place: TBD (trying to get VFW)
Band:Double shot (Think Jimmy Hendrix and a blues band)
We are also going to have a DJ that Lauren is arranging for.

    Master of ceremonies: Lauren (yeah)

Musical performances by: (still working on that, hope to get some of you singers out there to apply, the DJ can play the music of you)

Ticket prices: The group says $5, I thought $10 but I will trust the group on this

Food, muchies in the form of candy, chips, and pretzels are included in ticket price

    Pizza for $1 per slice
    Soda/water for $1 per can/bottle

If I get the VFW, we can let them have make money at the bar downstairs. We need security to check people at the door, this will determine who gets to go downstairs to the bar. Darn, I should have asked Jenn if Brooke was available, I bet he can tell without even looking at the ID.

We will also need people to help clean up (again, I already know the people who will do this, I would like to see others jump in too.)

We have the tickets so low priced because this will be a mandatory costume party, no costume, no admittance. We want it to be fun.

For the party time, I would say to start at 8 Pm and end between 11-11:30. I'd like to finish cleaning up by midnight.

We need donations of decorations and I would like a decorating committee to be formed. I figure we will need to get there around 4 PM to decorate (yup it will take 3-4 hours to set up the chairs and tables, decorate the place with lights, ghosts, and ghouls and of course spider webs.

We are also planning raffle tickets for various prizes so if you get get stuff donated, let us know.

    Thanks

    dennis

Just spoke to Max Quale, the base commander at the VFW. He is ok with it. I need to hear from Louie if the hall is rented that night or not but Max's endorsement is a good sign. I also left a message for Chief Mulligan. Hopefully Bill will allow a person to wear a uniform at the door and hopefully we can get some officer to donate their time. I think that alone would ensure the party goes on without a hitch. The other good thing about the VFW is the bar is downstairs so we could have pretty much any age to the event but I suspect mostly teenagers and 20 somethings will come.

Volunteers needed! I need people to decorate and donations of decorations. I also need people to man the tables to sell the food and drinks and to man the door. The more people who volunteer, the easier it is. I would like to have people work in shifts so they can also enjoy the party. Please sign up
