Look out Broadway, Here we come!

Well we have a screen time and it was my number one choice. It will be at 2:05 PM on Saturday 11/11/06 on screen 3 at the Village East Cinema, 181 2nd Ave at 12th Street, NYC. It is a 4 -4.5 hour drive to NYC from Merrimack NH so give yourself 5-5.5 hours with traffic. Saturdays are usually not so bad. If you left around 8:30, you should have no problem getting there for the show. Once there, you can check out other film festivals, go to a broadway show (they have a 2 for's line at Times Square) or just go back home after seeing our movie. Now I will be showing it in Merrimack so if you are just coming to see the screening, it is probably not worth it but still, it would be great to have you. We have a meet and greet before and after the show in the lobby area and I suspect that is when a lot of questions are asked and we get to meet some important people. (In life remember everyone is important, you never know who can help you and besides, everyone deserves your best)

I hope to see you all for Friday's marketing meeting at 7:30 PM at my house. We will be making posters to display and have a bunch of other stuff to go over.

PS, I see we have a lot of competition so if we do not come back with any awards, don't loose heart, the fact that we made it to the festival is an award in itself! If you keep that perspective an MEAN IT, well then anything else we might get is just gravy. My secret wish is for at least one of you will "make it", then we can all bask in your reflected shadow and say, yup I worked with her on her first brake out film,,, now that would be cool. It's OK to dream, just remember, this is the time of your life, don't let the dream get in your way of having fun!

    Hi Dennis,
I have a prior commitment on Friday so I will be unable to make it. Don't worry about the posters, I've got that covered and will have the printed at Kinkos. I'll show you a rough first, and hopefully you can run it by the others. I will have the tickets done by then as well. Question: Do you think 8pm is too late? 7:30 sounds a little better. A few people I have mentioned it to said it sounded late. Just a thought.
ANYONE WILLING TO HANG SIGNS CONTACT ME AND I WILL GET THEM TO YOU.(THE SAME FOR TICKETS,TOO!)

Hi Jenn, Give me a call later this afternoon so we can go over this. It is great that you are doing the posters, a big thank you for that. I understand Kendra can't make it until 9 because the middle school is having a dance/party. I thought this would attract an older crowd of high schoolers and college kids. The big thing there is they have their own cars or friends with them and I would expect only the oldest among them would be able to have a drink, hence the bar downstairs away from the party. I thought the 8-midnight was better for this group but maybe we should be looking at an 8-11 party, somehow midnight sounded better but I am OK with the early time. A 7:30 start could work too, did not think of that, my thought was to let them have dinner and then build up the muchies for our food. (It is also easier to get the pizza donations the further away you are from "prime time".

Great job on the posters, can't wait to see them. Talk to you this afternoon if you can pull yourself from work

Well if you listen to my song on my space, it says in life you have to take the wheel and drive for yourself. I have had to go back to school and learn a lot of new information to make this movie what I want it to be,,, great!

My latest lessons were on vectorscopes, waveforms, histograms, lumance, chromanance, tonal range, and dithering. They are all tools for color balance and since the white balance was not set on the camera, each and every clip needs to be done by hand. This and the the credits are all that is left. Jordan, get me the names of the girls at the party, I think they are the last one's I did not get.

I hate having to do but love having done.

Every journey has risks and trials. Many said it could not be done but here we are booked at the festival!

Great job everyone!, See ya Friday

Here's another reason to come to the meeting, I am having a reporter from the Union Leader come out to interview us.

    Hope to see you then

Well I had cupcakes and eclairs along with chocolate candy set for tonight's meeting. I also had a reporter from the Union Leader come down. I planned to have a picture of us all around the table but sadly, it was a bit lonely. (no one came)

He was a nice guy and I showed him some of the movie and he really liked it. I expect a good story for next Friday's paper but I am saddened that he was not able to get your picture for the paper. I am working hard to mix the fun with the work. I really need you guys to make these meetings, they can only help you and are kind of cool. Too bad, I am sure you would have liked to see yourself in the paper. Oh well, maybe next time.

I did give him some of your phone numbers in case he wants to get some info from you so he may call over the next couple of days as he puts the story. It is a lot easier for me to sell you if you are here, OK, I hope you guys get the message. I will have interviews for a number of papers and TV spots in the future. Maybe the fairest way to pick people for these events is based upon their availability to attend the fund raiser events we sponser. I can not stress how important these are. You do something good for someone else and help yourself in the process. A real win win in my book. I hope to hear from more of you as we need more volunteers for the Halloween Fund Raiser. Sorry to sound intemporate, just a long night.
