"Daddy's Girl" makes a splash at the NY Int Film Festival

Horay, we made it! I want to thank all of you who came out to support us. I was told we had the largest cast turnout of any film in the festival. That is a testiment to your dedication and I really appreciate it. Much thanks to Kevin, Sophie, Lauren, Elizabeth (a great surprise-forgot she was at NYU), Angie, Karen, Mike, Kendra, Jennifer, Brooke, Matt, Mike, Stepahnie, all the parents, friends, family, and of course to all of you who could not make it; you were there is spirit and we all felt your good wishes.
I met Ron Perillo a star of "Welcome Back Kotter", a TV series from the 70's. We had a great meeting and he was in town promoting a movie based on the TV show which will be filmed at Paramont in a couple of months, for those who know, he will play Mr Woodman and Ice Cube will play Mr Kotter- sounds real fun and I wished him the best of luck. I also met Larry Holmes, the heavyweight champion of the world; great guy and the producers of his movie appeared to wrap up a deal with HBO right in front of my eyes (pretty cool).
So what about us? Good question, well, I met with many people who do publicity, arrange for investors, casting agents and the like. I also met with a woman who works for verizon in the VOD devison, the hottest market right now. For those of you who gave me your portfolios, I did pass them on to some of these people so you may be getting a call; I will also follow up too, I took lots of notes. For me, meeting other directors was great, we all seemed to understand each other without having to explain anything. Since the odds were long with so many entries, I think we all were more focused on meeting each other and sharing ideas than with actually coming back with some oak leaf clusters. From these other directors, I learned of the sound problem in our theater and of the same problems in tape transfer. This is no big deal as the judges use the DVD but it was a shared frustration that in the end of the day mattered far too much to us than the audience.
I am so grateful to all of you; your hard work made the film a success. I will be following up with the contacts I made and hope to have more news down the road.

We now move on to Decmeber 9th, the premiere at Cinemagic. I am working on TV and radio appearances and will keep you updated. I am looking into a Limo and will work on media coverage. I will also look to have each cast member sell at least 10 tickets in advance. I will also have your DVD's at the premeire.

Broadway Bound, media blitz to start

Here we have the lovely and gracious Lauren aka Gilda.

Lauren will be down with us in NYC and we will keep our eyes open for Lorne Michaels!

We go to the NY International Film festival with wide eyed dreams and dare we hope to actually get noticed! You guys have such great talent and I am sure something good will happen. Sure wish I had more time to prepare and look more professional; all I can do is hope we are good enough so our shortcomings don't get in the way. For what we had to work with, I think we did a great job and hopefully others will agree too.

I want to thank all of you who are going down to support our movie. I know many of you can't come but you will all be in our hearts.

I really hope we can come back with good news but as I have said already, if we just have a good time, that will be a success too.

This is a great big journey and we should learn a lot form this experieince. I have a radio interveiw on the Woody Woodland show and TV interviews on My TV and NH Chornicle in the works for when we get back home. I have sent emails for NY media but don't expect we will get something this late in the game but hey, ya never know. We would be a great interview, so "un Hollywood", something new and I believe we offer a positive movie that is much needed.

Hang in there guys, keep us in your prayers and maybe just maybe, we will make a splash!

Halloween funraiser fun

Christmas Party after the premeire

Hi Guys, I thought it would be fun to have a party after the premeire. Why don't we do a yankee swap with a cap at $20 for the gift. These are always fun, especially when people with a high number swap out the gift you have. I think we will all be on such a high after the premeire, it would be nice to have all family and friends get together and celebrate a little holiday cheer.

As for the Almost Famous Halloween Party, I need donations of gifts for the raffles. I am putting in a TV and IPOD. Be creative with your ideas. We also need people to decorate on Thursday night from 7-9 (maybe Sophie and Kevin will still be around then, they can't make the party as they are flying to Florida, bummer!), I also need people to man the concessions.

We will have a live radio broadcast, print media and WMUR there so it really is a good chance for you guys to get together for this fund raiser. Lastly keep 12/14 open, we will be presenting the check to the town council around 7 PM so it is another chance to get on TV!

No empty stockings this year

I just got back from a meeting with Zyacorp, the parent company of Cinemagic. I believe we were well recieved and we have a good chance of getting our showing in December. I won't know for sure until Wednesday so you all need to keep your fingers crossed. If we get approved, it will be at 10 AM on Saturday December 9th. I figured we can charge $10 for the tickets and the money we get will go to the town Welfare Department for the Santa Fund. This way, we can fill a lot of stockings this year so in a way, you all get to be Santa. We would also have an event on Decmber 14 where we officially hand the check over and you all get a chance to be on TV!

If all goes well and we get our approval, we could hand out pictures of the cast members as souveniers. Who knows, you might be signing some autographs! I would like to have you guys come to get the pictures taken. I have a new black screen and the camera I have shoots with 13 megapixels so it should look really great. We could also use the white or green screens which will allow any background (I have hundreds to choose from)

This event will be a lot of fun and I am pretty sure it will go as planned but like everything else in life, ya gotta wait until it is official.

Now for the Halloween Party, I will have another marketing meeting this Friday and really need you to come. I will invite another reporter so be ready to be interviewed. I need to get volunteers for set up and clean up details as well as people who can cover the event. I plan to invite WMUR so you definately want to help on this, besides, it is for a good cause, ya gotta give back!

I figure we can start at 7:30 on Friday. Sophie, I still have some of those chocolates you liked, assuming my kids did not snag all of them. I also need to hear from you guys to learn of your schedules. I plan to move on to TV and radio appearances in about 2 weeks.

PS, In case you did not know, Double shot is the band we have for the party,,, they open for the Steve Miller Band,, pretty cool!

Next stop, LA

Here we have the lovey and gracious Jordan. She did a wonderful job with the Robin character. Well, in life, you always need to be three steps ahead. I am already looking forward to the LA festival and plan to attend it too. It is in March so we all have time to save up for the trip. I hope we also get a good turnout for this festival as well. I will try to get a Friday evening showing or Saturday afternoon for LA. If anyone is planning to go to LA, let me know.

As for NY, I have VIP tickets for all who asked for them so that works out good. I want to have a meeting before the NY festival to coordinate hotels and events. I see the schedule is posted for the movies so the events should be listed soon too. The VIP parties state proper dress is required so no jeans, t shirts, etc. Besides, you guys always look your best dressed to the nines. It should be a lot of fun. We are listed for Saturday at 2:05 PM but they took away the schedule and that might change (hope not). I think it is wise to stay from Thursday to say Monday to get the most of the VIP parties. They will have others on Mon-Wed night but I am guessing we should see enough of the same people from Thursday to Sunday to make it work (heck at those rates, I can't really afford much more) Talk to you soon,

Look out Broadway, Here we come!

Well we have a screen time and it was my number one choice. It will be at 2:05 PM on Saturday 11/11/06 on screen 3 at the Village East Cinema, 181 2nd Ave at 12th Street, NYC. It is a 4 -4.5 hour drive to NYC from Merrimack NH so give yourself 5-5.5 hours with traffic. Saturdays are usually not so bad. If you left around 8:30, you should have no problem getting there for the show. Once there, you can check out other film festivals, go to a broadway show (they have a 2 for's line at Times Square) or just go back home after seeing our movie. Now I will be showing it in Merrimack so if you are just coming to see the screening, it is probably not worth it but still, it would be great to have you. We have a meet and greet before and after the show in the lobby area and I suspect that is when a lot of questions are asked and we get to meet some important people. (In life remember everyone is important, you never know who can help you and besides, everyone deserves your best)

I hope to see you all for Friday's marketing meeting at 7:30 PM at my house. We will be making posters to display and have a bunch of other stuff to go over.

PS, I see we have a lot of competition so if we do not come back with any awards, don't loose heart, the fact that we made it to the festival is an award in itself! If you keep that perspective an MEAN IT, well then anything else we might get is just gravy. My secret wish is for at least one of you will "make it", then we can all bask in your reflected shadow and say, yup I worked with her on her first brake out film,,, now that would be cool. It's OK to dream, just remember, this is the time of your life, don't let the dream get in your way of having fun!

Update on the Almost Famous Halloween party

Well we are all set, We have the party date. It will be at the VFW post 8024 in Merrimack on DW highway from 8 PM to Midnight on Friday October 27th.

We need mucho volunteers to sell the food, check id's, decorate, and clean up. We also need to advertise the event in local High schools and Colleges. The band is doubleshot and Lauren will be the MC. Lauren has a DJ in mind and hopefully he/she can come too. We also want to showcase our talent, please, if any of you can sing, let me know.

I am also looking for raffle items. Please check what you have at home. I will also check the stores for donations. I already have 10 pizzas from Sal's and will try for more with another vendor.

Make sure you have a costume, I want everyone in costume!

lonely on my space

Hi Guys, I have only 12 friends, what's with that! I am getting lots of hits on the site, particularly since I now have the NY Film site link to myspace. Joe if you are reading this, I'm sorry but when you have a chance, we can go over the site. I have lots of ideas to make it more fun. For example, instead of a poll asking if you like the trailer, I would rather have a poll asking who was the hottest star on friends, do you think Greg and Marsha hooked up, stuff like that.

At Friday's meeting, I want to get pictures of you guys against my new black screen. I want to do a hard days night montage. What?, you never saw it, Geez it's a classic and its cool, go and rent it, very fun and a great time capsule. Anyway, I think we can liven things up a bit, I want more show and the business will take care of itself.

My concern is I have too few friends, I really believe the more the merrier, people see a new link and say, why not check it out. That is the beauty of myspace, way cool.

Almost Famous Halloween Party

Ok in honor of two of my favorite directors (Cameran Crowe and Tim Burton), I thought it would be cool to have a Halloween party funraiser to attract attention, help a good cause, and have a lot of fun. We will need a site, some bands, and a lot of decorations. This could be a lot of fun to do. Please make our marketing meeting. I need all your help and ideas. I think it is more fun to be interviewed at a hot party, don't you. We have a dance studio in town, maybe they could host it. I have decorations to chip in and I am sure I could get Pizza/food donations from area vendors.

Horay, I guess we can now be officially excited, we are now on the official NY International Film site.

Way cool!

I will keep you updated when we will be shown in NY, I am hoping for a Saturday evening so people can drive down if they like.

We are also doing a charity event by way of a premiere at Cinemagic in December.

I had lots of ideas for which charity (so many good ones), but after talking with Sophie (thanks Soph), I realize the perfect one is one that helps kids who are victims of abuse. Now I know there is a women's shelter in Nashua and that might be the right one but if there are other programs specifically for children of abuse, let me know. I thought there was a national center for exploted children. I will check into it but if people know, chime in. I love Sophie's idea, that way we can help all the other "Becky's" out there. ;,,, Take a bow Sophie!

I want a big turn out on Friday for our marketing meeting. Please make sure to attend. Well back to editing, still a long night ahead of me.

OK so we made a movie, now what?

Well, I just dropped off the trailer to Joe and he will put it on the website as soon as he can. Check out www.daddysgirlmovie.net to see the bios and trailer. I will also put another video and the "making of" video once I get a chance. I am still putting in all nighters and expect to do so all the way through 9/25, the deadline for Sundance.

So far we are booked for the NY International Film festival, the LA international Film festival, and the Cannes Film festival. Pretty cool.

I will let you know if we make Sundance too.

Now, what next?

Well, I am planning a marketing meeting on Friday September 29th from 7 Pm to say midnight. I am hoping we can get the parents and experienced actors to come with contacts, ideas, and of course, help in launching the campaign.

We plan to link to myspace and I want to arrange for TV, newspaper, and radio guest spots. Give me a call if you can make it. I am trying hard to help you in your careers and it will work a lot better if we do this as a team.

Ok the gang is gathered by the TV to watch a show. I was looking at the other movies in the film festival. There is one listed I just gotta see: "Reject Island", it is so strange looking, it is listed as a comedy so I bet it will be offbeat. I keep waiting to see us posted, soon ; maybe later today. I hope to hear from Joe soon so we can get the trailer onto our website so there will be a link on the NY site.

Bekka is coming, why not you!

Here is the lovey Bekka. I took her original casting photo, a little cropping (sorry Jordan) and Viola, a nice shot. Bekka and her Mom are coming down to NY and more and more people are joining her. I have had very little sleep over the past week but finished the trailer and all the promo materials about 6 AM this morning. They should have it tomorrow (Friday) so people can start checking out the NY international Film festival website to see us there (way cool!)

Joe was not able to make it last night and I don't expect him tonight. Hopefully he will have some time this weekend to put the trailer on the website: daddysgirlmovie.net

Bekka had a small part but to me there are no small parts. She was great on the set and it is wonderful to see her Mom is so supportive of her dreams to make it in show business. We have so many wonderful Mom's out there who care and watch out for their daughters but also are brave enough to let them explore this new world. So here's to Tasha, Jenn, Karen, Dorothy, Victoria, Jayne, Joelle, Trina, Linda, Helena, Donna, Michelle, Barbara, Helen, Kelly, Rosemarie, Penny, and Bernadette. I hope I got you all. Isn't this a great shot of Natalie! I have most of everyone's bios' and pictures. If you have not sent it in, please do so Saturday. As it is, I will have to work extra time to get it in but I do want to get as much of you as I can. (I know Bekka sent me something but I don't think she has any pictures. I don't think Jordan sent anything yet) I will be photographing the official movie poster tomorrow so I will be busy from 2-3 but if you need a professional picture, call me and we can set it up tomorrow.

Joe and Ellen were over tonight and we started the trailer. I am still working on it and after several hours of work, I have 16 seconds. It looks great and I think it will surprise a lot of you. Movin' Along

Remember the High Hopes event? Angie was great in getting donations. I still wanted to see Sophie and Lauren dance, Oh well, maybe at the film festival! This whole journey has been a lot of fun. I just heard from the festival and they will let me put in a show time preference. I would guess Saturday would be best and will put in for that.

So far I know the following are going to the festival: Kristin, Sophie, Kevin, Natalie and Victoria, Kendra and Jenn , Matt and Brooke, Tory and Emma and Rick and Joelle, Angie and Karen and Mike, Tanya, Ariel and Dorothy and Mark (probably), Lauren and Rosemarie, Patrick Lea Herbert (and maybe his 17 year old daughter), and maybe Sacha. Not bad! I will check on the discount we get at the Roosevelt hotel but at over $400 for a single bed 110 square foot room, I do not expect much. Last I heard, Karen was looking into Orbitz. It would be cool if we could all stay at the same hotel. This way, we could share a cab, get together and compare notes, and just have some fun.

I suspect if we get the Saturday showing, we will have even more people coming down. I am looking forward to the VIP parties. I expect that will be the place where contacts are made. Tanya is already in a big star film so naturally she is a rising star who I hope can give us some pointers.

when it rains it pours

About 2 AM last night, my 500 gig hard drive crashed. I had moved all my capture to this drive so I could move faster but now it appears to be all gone. The drive is only 5 weeks old! I can get angry but that is a waste of time. The submission dealines were moved forward and I just lost months of work. The only good thing is I have my master rough cut but I now need to hunt for each and every clip (nearly 2,000 of them), color and sound correct them and get them on the timeline so my composer get get to it, all in the next week. I do not expect to get much sleep so if you talk to me, please excuse my crankiness, I am doing my best.

I think I can now understand what Job was feeling, so many obsticles in my path; the way I look at it, the more difficult the journey, the greater the victory when we finally make it. Thomas Paine had it right. I will soldier on as I know all too well, I have the many hopes and dreams of the cast to sustain me. I will not let you down. Please email me your resumes and cover shots, I do not think I will have time to call you to remind you. I must have them by Thursday at midnight.

Let's get movin'

Well we had a great time last night but I have to say my thoughts were to some of you that couldn't make it. Here is Natalie who is now in Texas. Natalie and her mom are planning to attend the Film festival. Sacha is a new mom but I would not be surprised if she comes too.

I have a lot of work to do and the first thing I need is your bios and pictures. I need this within the next week, no later than Thursday midnight. After that, I can not guarantee you will get in the marketing marterial. I plan to do interviews in October and also in NY when we get to the festival. Once I know more, I will let you know.

I also have a set of keys, a baby doll, and some extra shirts so let me know if you lost any items or need the t shirts. I will expect everyone who goes down to have their t shirts for the festival.

Things are moving very fast now. Please get me the info I need. I also need a head count of VIP tickets. I can get a 12 at a discount so like I said, first come first served.

Congrats to everyone who worked so hard on this film. Your hard work paid off, we are now moving to the next step where I hope people's dreams can come true. One thing is for sure, we will be a lot closer to those dreams.

Here is Bekka at one of the casting calls. It all seems so long ago now. I hope we get a good turn out at the festival.

Here is an update, I just signed on with a promotion company that will get "Daddy's Girl" shown at the The American Film Market in LA, NATPE Worldwide market in Las Vegas, and the Cannes Film Festival (yes the one in Paris). We will also be on the cover of Showbusiness weekly and we will have an article in the Cannes Film issue of the Independent Film Quarterly. I will really need your bios and updated pictures. As I said, I will make comp cards for any of you that want them.

We are off to the NY international Film Festival

Well, we made it! November 9th-16th, mark that on your calendars. We are in the NY International Film Festival. Films from all over the world have entered (Italy, Ireland, China, Japan, Australia, India, New Zealand, Turkey, Nepal, and on and on...

Here is your big chance, we will meet with executives from Miramax, William Morris, MGM, Fox Searchlight, The Sundance Channel, Sony Pictures, Lion's Gate, New Line, Paramount, MTV, Green Street Films, Blockbuster, Artisan Entertainment, HBO, and many others. We will also meet the film critics and hopefully get a good review. I hope you can all make it. You all worked very hard and this is the brake we were all hoping for.

I would like everyone to bring me a resume for Friday's party. I can make comp cards for those of you who would like them; they will come in handy at the festival as this is the industry standard. I also would like another shot at the lost scene from last year. I will need Jordan, Kristin, Tanya, and Sophie for that. It can be done in a day and I believe it will add a good message along with more drama for the movie. I am hoping this will be the movie that launches several careers. I have been blessed with so many talented people on this project, I am sure some of you will make it.

Esta muy bonito nino de Sacha y Luis

In the wee hours of the morning on August 23rd, baby Xavier Alexander was born to his proud parents, Sacha and Luis. Xavier is a happy baby and he is busy making packages for Luis to take care of. Sacha's mother came to help out and this has been a big help. Sacha is recovering but it does not look like she will make the party due to her doctor's restricitons. She does send all her love to everyone and hopes we all have a good time. Sacha and Luis have a new life to care for and their lives will never be the same. To quote Sacha, "It's all good!".

Time for a Party

Well it is about time we got the gang back together for a party. It is at my house on Friday Sept 1st from 5 PM to whenever. We will premiere the trailer and I might show a clip or two from the movie (sorry, I don't want to spoil it for the premeire) I will also be asking you guys to do voice overs for a "making of" video/stills for the website. Oh, and of course, we can all catch up on the past year. Sacha should have a little surprise to show us and Tanya has some great news to share. Everyone has grown since last year, Emma and Tory are now 6 and I hear much bigger! There is so much going on I can't wait to hear how everyone is doing!

Well, bring your bathing suits for the hot tub and pool. I mean this for the older cast members too, why let the young ones have all the fun. I will supply the burgers and dogs but ask you guys to bring a side dish.

Sean Hurley will be the voice of our trailer. Click on the link below to see his many talents. It was nearly a year ago when this was taken. We were locked out of church and had to think fast. The whole wedding was done in a week! Sure wish editing was as fast! I met with Patrick Lea Hebert, our composer last Thursday and he loved the film. It is over 3 hours and I am trying to cut it down. It is hard because you were all so great. A big welcome to Sean. Your voice will make the trailer pop out and there are more than just a few of us who are just waiting to be noticed. Sacha's party was a blast.

Things are progressing well. I figure we will be doing media events in Sept/Oct.

I will be editing the movie this weekend but just wanted to share a photo from a photoshoot Lauren did with me.

Isn't she great! Who knew what a natural beauty was under all that laughter. We had a lot of fun on the shoot but I am sure Lauren would agree, it was a lot of work. I have worked with professional models before and Lauren was tops.

Lauren, I should be able to finish your comp cards by next week.

CC reschedules the show

CC TAKE TWO:

Hey guys, CC did not do the shoot because of the storm. She has resceduled the shoot for Sunday the 19th at 9 AM. If you want to be on a nationally syndicated TV show, now is the time. It is great to add to your acting resume and it should be a lot of fun. CC will be at SAL'S PIZZA in Merrimack Sunday 2/19/06 at 9 AM. She has a script and you guys will get a couple of lines to say as customers. I will be out of town (rats), but I hope lots of you come and have fun with the shoot.

CC returns to Comedy Central in March for follow up talks. She is a rising star so grab a hold and enjoy the ride.

Guess who got a boo boo

Hi everyone. Now that the excitement is over and she is feeling better, I can tell you Jenn took a bad fall and broke her wrist/forearm, and eye orbits. She also cracked her skull, had a sub dura hematoma and is still coming out of the shock of it all. This all happened a week ago so she is now home and recovering. Kendra is doing a great job of caring for her but I am sure she would love to hear from you guys. Call me if you need her number. She should be awake in the afternoons and early evenings so that is probably the best time to call.

Actresses needed for national TV show

Hi Guys, CC Carole of the Everything show is doing a comedy skit this Sunday at 9 AM at Sal's Pizza in Merrimack. Think of the Lucy and Ethel candy making skit and you get the idea.

CC knows many of the "Daddy's girls" and would like you to lend your talents to the show. The everything show is nationally syndicated in a number of markets. CC recently returned from LA where she met with the exec's at Comedy Central for a pilot of her show. CC also has her own magazine and her hard work is an inspiration to us all. There is nothing you can't do with hard work, talent, and a good head on your shoulders.

CC is asking you to come at 9 AM this Sunday. She has scripts (mostly 2-3 lines, so no big deal for you pro's). Here's a chance for some free exposure and I suppose some early morning pizza. Call me with any questions.

Kendra shines on TV !

For those that don't know, I also produce a televison show called "Merrimack Matters".

Here we have the lovely and gracious Kendra who is now one of the star members of our team. Kendra bring along a wealth of talent and she is a quick learner. To be on the show, all members must do all facets of production. This includes booking events, reporting and editing. Kendra has learned to use the video/audio mixer so she can control 4 cameras at once. She also is learning the studio 10 editing program, has learned camera and reporting skills, and is just fun to have around.

We meet every Friday afternoon afterschool. Kendra is joined by her brother Matt who is taking Cisco in High School. The other members are Megan, Shoshana, Griffin, and Amanda.

Some recent events covered included pottery making at the clay cafe, Les Miserables at the former American Stage Festival (so good to see that put back to good use), the debate on women's studies (that comes tonight), Myact, Ghost stories, Batter's up, and the Little Private Music school. We also have planned a visit to WNDS, Scuba Diving (in 2 weeks, wicked fun- we will film them under water!), Strawberry Banke and Hampton Beach (as soon as the warm weather returns), An interview with Governor Lynch, and since we have press passes, we will check for a cool group performing at the Verizon center and get interviews backstage.

We are always looking for new show ideas so if you have any, just let me know. It is also a great thing to add to your resume, so if you want to do a segment or two with us, give me a call. It is a great way to show off your talent and to learn more of the technical side of the business. When I walked into a room of over 100 men and saw only one women in the training class, it is clear to me that this is an area that you guys should definately look into. The more you know about what goes on behind the camera, the better you can perform in front of it.

I am also looking forward to my next project. Now I know you are eager to see the trailer and the movie and I am doing all I can to make it happen. The obstcles that were beyond my control are being resolved so I am having fun jumping into the project.

I love the old saying, "If you want something does, find a busy man".

Plenty of time to rest at the end of the journey; I'm too busy enjoying the ride.

I hope to see more of you join in even if for one show.

LEST WE FORGET

Hi Guys,

Yeah I am editing! I am working on the movie trailer and we have a website: daddysgirlmovie.net.

I will announce when it is ready.

Someone asked for some pictures so here they are.

The first is in Jordan's room for that day long marathon of shooting. I can't believe you guys went to the beach after all that! Oh to be young! The second is of our social worker Debbie, she did a great job and the scene is really funny. That will definately make the trailer. The third is of Eryn, Britty, and Kelly, all good friends; this was important as the friendship shows up on screen. You just can tell they are having fun and like each other. Great job girls!

Next is our intrepid director on the white mountain shoot. Oh what we do for art? I think we all got a little banged up repelling down that 50 foot verticle drop with all our equipment no less. Sacha took the worst of it as her back was acting up BEFORE we took the 2 mile hike to the site over all those rocks and railroad ties. The great thing is the shots look great and that is what all the work was about. The next day we worked with Angie and Kendra and Sophie directed the lake scene. (Great Job Soph). That was a really fun day and the Angie on the bike picture summed it up (check archives).

Jordan, Tanya, and Sophie are doing a "charlies angels" picture. Just a moment of silliness during the wedding scene, another long long day. We started at 5 AM with hair and makeup, then went to Eddies house for the Sarah scene before the "walk". Tanya was a good sport about her scene and I think is is funny and honest. We had to film on one of the hottest days of the summer and I recall everyone waiting outside the church (we were locked out by mistake) and me running to other churches in town for a spot. Dorothy saved the day (again) by mentioning Abby Griffin Park and of course it was perfect. I want to thank all the people who came out all dressed up as extras for the wedding scene, it was just perfect. Thanks to Rhum Boogie for being such good sports and to CC at Fratellos. After the weding scene was over, we then filmed the engagement scenes. We finished around midnight and then everyone went out for a drink and marveled how we got through the day. Later, Mike and I went with Mike's apartment to scope out the "into Jamie's Lair" scene and map out shots.

The next picture is of Daphne who came all the way from Rhode Island to be in "Daddy's Girl" She did a wonderful job as the salesclerk. Angie skipping in all happy will make the trailer. Next we have Eddie and our 'Doctor" follwed by Sophie in Jail. After removing the spiders, she was ready to act. I remember how creepy the place was and the musty smell. I think it helped us both get in character. This is another clip for the trailer.

Last but not least is our sleep over kids having fun and just being kids. It was a lot of fun to do, especially making brownies.

Stay tunned for up dates; BTW I am doing a lot of things these days. I have a new Merrimack Matters team and we will start new shows in a couple of weeks. If anyone wants to do a segment, give me a call, we would love to have you join us. I know Sacha is interested in video so maybe you might want to come down and do a segment. How about showing off your talents in song or dance, etc. A show on cooking, or other interests; well to quote Sacha, it's all good.

I am also working on building up my company so I can finance my films. Daddy's Girl needs to come first and it now looks like we are finally on track!

Sophie, I want to get the trailer up before I use you for the website but I will call you in a few weeks with details. I am still waiting for the one account but will start marketing in about a month. I am trying to get everything lined up so I can move forward and have purchased a lot of new equipment so I will definately call you once I have things lined up.

Fore everyone, I am planning a premeire once we are done so check the blog from time to time.

Merry Christmas everyone, sorry about the repeats, I'm helping Santa wrap presents and I'm a bit tired. It was good to see everyone again. Trouble is, it seemed like the time flew by and I did not get much time with you. Ben should be home today so maybe we could all get together around New Years. Let me know.

The big surprise of the night, the FIRST one to arrive was KRISTIN! Now I never would have guessed. Great palm reading Kristin, I loved the ghost stories, way cool, I guess as long as it doesn't happen to you.

Jenn, I loved the high brow, intellectual discussion, you are a gem. Hey Kendra, you are quite the young lady, I see new sides to you every time I see you. I am setting up the office for Merrimack Matters and we definately will be doing more fun stuff. Larry and Bernadette, it's good to hear I am not the only one that feels that way, I think Larry needs a teaching keyboard for Christmas!

Eddie is now a seasoned pro after working for FOX, before you know it, he will be eating free meals and riding in a limo. Oh well, we can all say we knew him when.

Nat, thanks for the present and always remember you are special and deserve only the best.

Kelly and Brittey, I got some nice pictures of you for the web site, send me a bio when you can. Just a couple of sentences about you.

Joe is a great help and I hope to get the trailer done by the end of January. The website is daddysgirlmovie.net. Meagan, let me know if you want to be in Merrimack Matters. You can try it out to see if you like it. If you become a regular, you get way cool embroidered shirts and do lots of fun stuff.

It was great to see you guys again, thanks for coming. We really missed those who could not make it. Sacha we missed you, poor bobette crachet, the post office scrooge got to you. Oh well, we just love to send those packages. Our bad.

Zak's getting ready to tour

If you are interested in singing at the Christmas Party, just ask Zak to turn out a tune. He is not much for Christmas music but plays some mean Jimmy Hendrix and his Stairway to Heaven is just inspired. Zak also plays the sax (a real jazzman). Jeremy is learning the piano and he should be able to bang out some Christmas music. Jeremy learns to play by ear. He hears it and sits down and plays, way cool. Eddie will be there with his girlfriend and he plays the piano so we should be able to have a sing a long if people are up to it. We have lots of talented people so anyone else who wants to grab a guitar or the piano, just jump in.

Ben will not make the Christmas Party. He will be in the week after Christmas. He was mugged and his cell phone was stolen along with everything else he had on him. Not the fun in the sun he expected but he is doing well in school and is no worse for the wear from his scrap. Ben wanted to pass his Christmas wishes to everyone and hopes to get together around New Years.

Lauren did a marvelous performance in her school play. I sure wish I could have gone, especially after hearing about how great she was. Sophie is currently performing in the Christmas Carol at the Palace and will come over with Kevin later in the evening (after the Friday performance). For those of you who have been out of touch for a while on things, Sophie and Kevin are going out together and it appears they met "on the set" of Daddy's Girl so we have already spun off some good things. Jeremy saw Sophie as part of a school field trip; his verdit: She was great!

Angie is in several projects and unfortunately she won't be able to make the party. Angie, if you have a chance, I would love for you to come over for a visit and some coccoa.

Joe is feeling better and my system is working much better but I have not had time to do all the tests yet as I am trying to get all my work done by Christmas. Joe has the website set up and I need to get glam shots of everyone and bio's as well. I am looking forward to getting the trailer up and then on to the movie. Joe will help with the editing so I now have some of the best talent out there at my side.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone again. I have lots of projects going on at once. I am also looking to get Merrimack Matters rolling again after the first of the year and I am almost done redoing my office so we can have out meetings there. I will also set up an editing station so we can updload once a shoot is done. Matt is our master editor but as I have done with the previous generation of Merrimack Matters, I expect everyone to do all aspects of production. For those of you who don't know, Merrimack Matters is a cable access show that I have been doing for over 5 years. You can be a regular or just help with one or two shows. It is a lot of fun and a great way to learn all the things that go on behind the scenes that make it all work. For you out of towners like Lauren, Jordan, and Bekka (just for example), you could come and work on a show or even a show segment. As Sacha says, it's all good. BTW, I can definately see Sacha doing some segments.

I am also looking into doing something fun once the movie is done. This will probably be in May or June. The Boston Film Festival is the first 2 weeks in September. Then on to SNOB (Somewhere North of Boston-in Concord) in October and then Sundance.

Well back to work, See you all on Friday. We have a lot of catching up to do. Kristin lost her phone so if you did not hear back from her, that is probably why. She should be there at he party.

Christmas Party Update

Merry Christmas everyone. I am working hard but find each day moving faster than the next. Before we know it, the Christmas Party will be here. It has been a while since we all were together and it will be great to catch up. Ben and Eddie should be in and we can hear about their adventures in Callie.

Some tidbits: For those of you who want to use the hot tub, don't forget to bring your suits.

I also have a lost and found bag of stuff (earings, a baby doll, etc.)that has been left behind so please check that out.

For those of you who did not get a shirt, I have plenty extras so just ask.

Joe has taken ill so I am not sure if the trailer will be ready for the party but I have decided to relax and just do my best and go from there. I did purchase a camera for a new business I started for weddings. I will be doing video and still photography. The camera is awesome and will make incredible photos for the internet. Joe and I will be working on the daddy's girl website and I would like to get pictures of you and your bio's so wear something nice and I will grab each of you for a quick photo shoot against the green screen.

Sophie, Kendra, and Jenn will apreciate this next thing, I now have over 100 feet of green screen and the stands to hold them up quickly and easily. It will not help for all the hard work you put in but it will come in handy for the next time. I also will use it for the next movie and the video wedding business because I intend to do things that no one else is doing!

The party is on Friday December 23rd. It will start at 6:30 and go to whenever. I will announce when the premeire will be and the location once I have these in the can. See you soon.

Waiting, Waiting,, It can be frustrating. I know people want to see the movie (so do I) and I suspect some of you have lost faith in me. Well I have had a lot of sleepless nights over this and I now know there was nothing I could do as the current program does not support what I was trying to do. Talk about hitting your head on the wall! So many times I just said to myself, do it on the other program, it is more simple but that is the problem, everyone worked too hard for mediocre. You all deserve better than that and that is why I kept at it.

Well, I finally got an update for my software which will hopefully fix the problems I have had. I also went to an AVID conference and met one of the software designers who is coming over to my house to help me repair the software. Thank you Joe!

This whole editing experience has been a nightmare. I won't bore you with the details, the exciting part is I found a person who is willing to help me. I can't wait to get moving once the system is stabilized. Ok for you tech people, most of the problem has been with the 24P 3:2 pull down, out of sync sound and video and overwriting of batch digitized files.

The first goal will be to get the wedsite up with a trailer. I hope to do this by Christmas.

Well the trailer is coming along nicely. I thought it would be nice to sing Christmas Carols and can set up a speaker system and music if you guys are not afraid of microphones. We don't have to do this but it is an option. We still have to add the pictures and this picture does not do it justice, in person it looks really cool. Kudos to Jenn, Matt, and Kendra for all their hard work.

Now for this Sunday, we meet at my house at 11:30 for breakfast. The Parade is from 2-4 PM and we need to be in the Commons parking lot by about 1:15 the latest. If you are busy that day and can get there by 1:50, you can jump on the float. Get ready for some fun.

Oh BTW, I got several different flavors of hot coccoa including carmel, rasberry, white chocolate, hazelnut, and others. I also have regular and diet coccoa. Let's have a nice warm breakfast so we can sing loud on the float.

Making the trailer

Hi Guys, I'm working on the trailer and need two shots. One of Angie coming throught the door walking up the stairs (her line is "Daddy I'm home", not too much stress there), and Kendra and Angie together with Angie saying "Becky and I decided we are now sisters". Call me guys and let me know when you are free to do it. We can do both at the house on the same day and it should take no more than a half hour, this includes time for a hot coccoa and marshmellos.

I also need some guys for the dating and dog scene. These are quick shots and should take about 15 minutes for each guy. If you know anyone with a Mohawk haircut, a Kojack haircut, nose rings, tatoos, anything unusual, have them call me. I also would like a great looking guy who we could give a little acting promt to make it funny. The ages should be round 16-20 but I would like a girl in that age range and also an older man, (these last two are for the end of the movie during the credits, should be funny). Each of these will take about 15 minutes to do so if you know someone, have them call me.

BTW, everyone should have a cast list of all the phone numbers. I will try to get an update done at the Christmas party so I will ask you to fill in you home addresses and emails so we can contact each other long after the film is done.
As an update, I do not expect to make the deadline for SXSW. Sorry guys but I simply misjudged the time factor for editing. I based it on my TV editing program and this one I am using takes far longer. We will however make the Boston Film Festival next summer and that is something everyone can drive too. It will also mean we did a movie in a year from beginning to end, not too shabby when you realize most movies that years to make.
I have also taken on a second job and am trying to get my production company into video weddings, commercials, and TV production. I have a possible TV series in the works, a video how to show that I heard about from Sacha (Thanks Sacha, you're the best). I am also looking to do video weddings so if you know anyone let me know, I will do the first 2 for half price to get something up on the internet. I have researched the competiton and they will be in for a rude awakening once I get in the market.
I am also struggling to keep out the voice in my head that keeps trying to write my next screenplay. I have to stay focused on getting this project done but every so often, I let my mind wander while in the car and it keeps gettting more vivid each time I allow myself to think about it. Just a hint, it will be a combination romance/poignant drama with some comedic relief thrown in. Think of Marty, Romeo and Juliet, and Same time next year thrown all together. I will feel much better about writing this once I get the movie done.

I expect to get the trailer done by our Christmas party and will be laying down foley sounds sometime in January or February for the movie. Our composer, Partrick, is on board with this schedule and I can't wait to hear what he comes up with.

Sorry to disappoint you guys about the movie time schedule. We can premiere the trailer but I just don't see how I can get the movie out by then. I misjudged the learning curve needed to learn a professional editing program, the problems getting it to sync correctly, the mulitlayering, 3d animations, curved prospectives, chromokeys, and many other issues that have taken far longer than expected. I can say that the acting is great and I am excited about getting the film done.

I will be working on the float this Sunday (11/27) at 1 PM so if anyone wants to help, come on down. Jenn, I need the side panels, hope they are done, call me when you get a chance. We have been out of the limelight for a while so the parade will be the next big event so I hope to see a lot of you then.

Here are some of our "Daddy's Girls" taking a break from the playground scene. Everyone worked hard that day and the parents were great about the relocation. From left to right we have the lovey and talented Eryn, Kelly, Britney, and Teanna. All will be on the Christmas Float and I expect each will go far in their careers. They will be singing Christmas Carols and throwing candy at the kids; Eryn has quite the pitching arm so even the kids far away should be happy.

We can all meet at my house on Sunday December 4th at 11:30 AM to have a breakfast together. Then on to the parade.

We are on National TV

Well guys, we are now on a nationally syndicated show!

Check local listings for "the everything show"

Locally we are on Channel 68 on Comcast, Channel 16 on Aelphia, and Channel 68 in Western Mass.

We air on Wednesday 11/9/05 at 10 AM acording to the listing but CC says it was moved to 10 PM so I advise you to check both times in case it is not moved this week. She is doing more edggy stuff so she needs a late night time. Mike has worked with CC and she thinks he is the best. CC is also working on a pilot for Comedy Central. She was flown out to LA to meet with the key people. All in all, I am glad she is my friend and role model. She is also a single parent and has made a name for herself. She is also the type of person who would do what she can to help us without being asked.

CC covered the High Hopes event we were in. See, it pays to come out for these events! I am always looking for these opportunities. You never know who can help you or if you can help others.

PS, I am still struggling with the editing, it is driving me crazy and I keep wanting to do it on an easier program but I want this to be special and this program does really great effects. Whoever does, if you have a camera, I'd love to see pictures either video or stills. I wish I took a camera to Sophie's performance, it was great and it reminds me of how talented you guys are.

Daddy's Girls go to the Christmas Parade

Join us on Sunday December 4th for the Merrimack Christmas Parade.

I'd like everyone to wear a Santa hat (Walmart has them for 2 or 3 bucks). Jenn and Kendra are working on the decorations, they are way cool! Thanks guys!

I will add Christmas lights and garland.
Oh it is so fun and you get to throw candy at the kids.

I need to hear from you guys, these are important events to promote the movie and your work in it. Please call me asap so I can make space for you on the float. Depending upon the weather, we may wear the daddys girls shirts over a sweater. That way, you all will match. I have extra shirts so if you need a bigger size, we can do that.

Decorate the float day, Saturday at 11 AM

Here we have the lovely Kendra who knows my favorite saying,,, Do you need any help?

Kendra and Jenn are coming over this Saturday (10/28) at 11 AM. I guess we can do this from 11 Am to say 2 PM. I know Kellie is also coming but I have not heard from anyone else. (Where is Eryn, Britney, Ariel, Meagan,,etc) The older cast members are also welcome and it would be great to see people like Jordan, Bekka, Liz, Tanya, etc for the decorating or at least in the parade.

Please consider coming if for no other reason than to catch up with everyone on the movie. I have some great pictures which were blown up and laminated for the float. Come on down and join the fun. I also need to hear from you guys to see how many are available for the December 4th Parade (from 1-4 PM).

Karen, I will see you and Angie between 3-4 Saturday and we will get the 2 shots, Angie will need the clothes she wore for the bike ride (including backpack) and something else for the dance (I thought a dress if she has it, it would be nice and I could put on my suit and she can gently walk on my feet,,, just think if it were reversed, ouch!

Kendra, please wear the outfit for the barn drop off scene and your backpack if you have time to shoot the drop off scene Saturday, if not, maybe we could do it Sunday, let me know.

I hope to hear from more of you guys, if for nothing else than to say hi, editing can get lonely.

Mike has done a great job on the trailer, I am really impressed; so much so that I am giving tours so if you come, you can see what a craftsman can do. I think it is more impressive if you ever tried to do this because that is where the expression "it only looks easy" comes from. Kudos to Mike for all his hard work. I really appreciate it.

Hi Guys, While I'm busy editing, I am looking to the future. I won't have time for a halloween party but I have scheduled us for the Christmas Parade in Merrimack for Sunday December 4th at 1PM in the Commons Parking lot. We move at 2 Pm and should be done by 4 PM. I will check into the parades for other towns (Manchester and Nashua). I need volunteers to decorate the float. My Dad used to say "Many hands make light work". Let's not leave it up to those people who always give. If you have not had a chance to do something fun, please think about joining in.

Once the movie is done, we will be in heavy promotion mode with TV, radio, newspaper, and internet events. Stay tunned for those updates.

Please email me or call me if you want to help on the float so we can arrange this. I also need to know how many of you want to ride on the float. I expect the younger girls will be interested but hope some of you older people join in too. "Daddy's girl is all about growing up so we should be able to show that. This is the picture I should have used for the last post. Thanks to everyone for all the help in getting the scene set up and done. Kendra and Sophie did most of the hand off and inside set up work while Jenn and I were soaked to the bone outside getting stuff from the trailer. Yes Yes, I know they would have done more outside stuff but they had to dance looking somewhat normal. The weather didn't help but with everyone working as a team, we got it all done. (Oh what we do for art) Thanks Soph and Kendra, we couldn't have doen it without you.

Somehow, we made it!

Well, it must have rained 4 inches today, mostly when we were getting the gear in and out of the trailer. Thanks so much to Kendra, Sophie, and Jenn for making this shot work. I expect it will be one of the prettiest scenes in the movie when we are all done. A special thank you to Jenn DeFelice at Broadway Bound for letting us use the dance studio.

Since Sophie and Kendra know their dances I will need both of them to be in the editing room when we do their scenes. Hey it's another credit in the movie.

What's left? Well we have the dog scene and 2 shoes scenes. I will try to get our town manager to do the shoes for one scene (He's a good guy, I'm sure he would do it, we can give him foot credit like we are giving for Captain Doyle (he gets hand credit). My thought for the other scene is to meet Kendra and Brooke one afternoon when the monsoon is over and I will have Brooke drive Kendra in my car and I'll film it real low to the ground.

We start editing this Monday at 2 PM. Sophie is coming and I will check on Sacha (she is not sure if she has the day off). Kevin will probably make it after 6PM. If it is just me and Soph, I think we can do the Becky dance first while it is still fresh in her mind. Kendra, we need a day to do this and also for Merrimack Matters. Let me know if Thursday the 13th around 2:30 Pm is good (after school).
My goal is to get enough scenes done to meet with Patrick on the weekend so he can get started scoring it. He has been very patient and we need to get moving. The delay is all my fault as I like to get the filming done before editing and I have had problems with the editing program that need several hours to fix and I just haven't had that time yet. My goal is to do it Sunday so I'll be ready for the editing team on Monday.

Robin's scene is cancelled

I think I understand how Elizabeth is feeling at the end of a very long day.

Daddy's Girl has been a long and exhausting project. I am so lucky so many talented people gave up their time to make the magic come alive. Kristin is not able to make the shoot on the 10th and rather than try to reshedule, we will go with the original scene. I'm tired too and we have enough great stuff to work with.

The last scene is the Becky dance. Soph and Kendra come over my house around 9:30 Saturday. Kendra, bring your backpack and the clothes you wore in the scene where the father drops you off and throws the back pack at you. I also need someone with shoes so if your dad is available around 12 noon (when we finish the Becky dance), then we are all set. Let me know, then I need shoes in the courtroom which I will ask the town manager to do and the dog scene. That's it. For Monday, I'd like Soph and Sacha over for editing (and Kevin if he is off). Figure get here around 2 PM, I am working that day and will try to get it all done so we can move onto editing. (P.S. Yes Patrick, I plan to call you as soon as I have enough film to go on)

Not again!

Well that must be the feeling people are feeling now that we are doing extra scenes and some retakes. We sent the better part of the day filming a 2 minute 24 second song montage. I recall Tony Pellegrino saying it is all hard work and today was a great example of that. Angie did great doing the hummingbird scene over and I think our improv worked the best (and it was the most fun). Thanks to Angie and Karen for being good sports.

We also did promos for the movie and Kendra came along and then stayed to help out for the rest of the shoot. (Way to go Kendra!).

Kudos also to Nat and Soph for the "Letting love rain" work. It is such a beautiful song and the scenes we did will make it real special. It is great to have so many talented and helpful people, be in in helping to create a scene, filming it, or just shlepping the gear around. Kendra actually said, "Do you need any help", Those five little words are the best, Kendra, you are the best.
(To be fair, the others did too, only Kendra said it more often)

Kendra directed some scenes today just as Sophie had in the past.

I guess our Becky gets special treatment.

I don't know about you guys but I'm bushed. Lucky for us, it's almost over. Next week we do the Becky dance, then on Oct 10 we do the Robe's scene over again. Sorry guys for not getting a script out yet, I will work on it tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for hangging in there.

Natalie makes it big

Well I knew more good news was on the way. First with Kristin's 2 projects, then Tanya flying to film in Lisbon, well now our Natalie is breaking out. Just turning 15, she now has an agent with acting and modeling work coming. She just got a script to read through and she will be busy this Saturday being made up for a portfolio to present to studio heads. Way to go Nat! Keep us posted on your progress.

Here we have the lovely Tanya and Sophie. Tanya will be in Lisbon in 2 weeks doing a movie! I get the sense that each one of "Daddy's Girls" will be moving to bigger things and we can all say we knew you when.

Sorry "Angels" (Hey look at the picture), but we still have more work to do. Here is the new schedule:

Sat Oct 1
8:30-9:30 AM Angie for filming hummingbird scene
9:30 AM to 1 PM local filming in Merrimack with NAT and SOPHIE for Becky montage following court scene, bring several changes of clothes.
1PM Merrimack Matters team (Matt, Kendra, Kellie, and Britney) can meet up with us to go to the fair or you can go earlier and we can meet a the fair.
1PM-2PM travel to Deerfield fair NAT and SOPH
2PM-6PM film scenes with cow, new born chicks, and fair grounds (add to sweet 16 footage), watching horse show, etc. I will have the trailer for a dressing room. Note, it usually gets chilly so a sweater is definately in order (this applies to all of you, if you have been there, you know what I mean, one minute its warm, then, burr).

Well that's the latest. Call me to confirm we are all set. I apprecaite everyone's help. I don't want to say this is it but I am hoping it is close, I need to do the dog scene and will do that on my own.

Hi Guys, Well High Hopes is now over and while the turn out was disappointing, we did get interviewed on a Nationally Syndicated cable show, "The Everything Show"
(Check local cable listings)

CC Carole is the host and she is also a friend. She started from nothing and is now in the big time. It all comes down to hard hard work. (She is such an inspiration!)

Thanks you so much for the people who made it down. Jenn, the backdrop and stage decorations were great. I'm keeping my lanyard, ....wicked cool!

Thanks also to Sacha for doing an all nighter for editing prep, to Lauren for your laughter and great dance moves. Soph and Kevin for hanging in there. Soph, you will have to do your solo for us some night, I really was looking forward to it. Thanks Karen and Angie, Kellie, Brittney, and Kendra (my new Merrimack Matters team). Zak and Matt did all the technical stuff; great job guys! Brooke gave emotional support but the one using all the power tools was Jenn,.... I sure hope he does dishes!

It is always good to help others and the interview gave us NATIONAL EXPOSURE. One thing I learned from CC, you have to keep banging on doors over and over. Nat, sorry you couldn't make it but going for a paid gig is always a good reason to be out.

Hey guys, I heard she is alive but that's about it. My guess is she is very busy. I want to film 2 extra scenes, both to music. One is for Jordan and I wanted to film this on October 1st at Jordans house befeore we go to the Deerfield Fair. Tanya can probably make it as long as we get it done early in the day (fine with me) Soph and Jordan should be ok,, sooo I need Kristin to make up the last person for the scene. This scene will replace the Robe's scene and I think it will be more powerful.

Depending upon people's schedules we may be able to do a music montage with Joran and other actors (I'll call friends for social workers etc.) but it would be nice if we can get a baby and have Soph, Kristin, and Tanya in that scene too.

The second scene is with Sophie and Natalie. I also need Kendra for that. I will talk to you guys on Saturday and we will try to schedule this. Kevin, Sacha, and Soph went through a number of tapes so I can start editing on Monday!

Anyone who can find Kristin, tell her I need to talk to her. If there is no way she can do it, we will just have to go with what we have but I hope we can give Joran and Tanya better parts to play. This would add a lot to their characters.

Well it won't be long before the snow flies and our movie is finally done.

I thought I would get ahead of everything by announcing the party now so everyone can make their plans. It will be on Friday 12/23/05 from 3 PM to whenever (most likely past midnight).

We will have DVD's for everyone and a premiere will be made at my home.

Mark your calendars, bring the family, and let's have some fun. We will show the movie and out takes through out the night so if you miss the first show, no problem.

I'm gonna be tough here, DVD's will only be passed out at the party. I really want everyone to be here. Eddie should be back from Callie and hopefully Ben will come too. (I'll work on it). Also bring your family, Sacha, I want your husband there too! Let me know if he gives you a problem, I'll take care of it! Brothers, sisters, Moms, Dads, and Grandparents will all be around anyway because of the holiday. Come, enjoy, and share in the beauty and magic they helped create.

I think a yankee swap would be fun. Everyone can buy a gift (just one) for say $20-25 so it is at least nice. We then pick out numbers and pick the gifts but then a person with a higher number can take the gift from you and swap out what they got. It's fun, trust me! Given the differences in ages, we will have 2 swaps, 15 and under and 16 and over.

We still have 2 new scenes to do and a remake of the humming bird scene and some Father/daughter scenes with me and Nat (no sound) going over homework, playing chess and Nat learning to dance. I also need Angie learning chess, making a p n j sandwhich and dancing on my feet. We can do some of this on Saturday the 25th.

Hey guys, we are getting ready for the High Hopes event. We need people to make cupcakes, brownies, and cookies to sell. We also need singers, dancers, and actors for funny skits. I thought we could do a take off of Earth Angel going something like " I'm an angel, I'm and angel, the one Daddy adores, let's me do anything, even make smores,... well you get the idea. We can do show tunes (Wish upon a star, Somewhere over the rainbow), and a dance if you know any. We meet at my house on Wednesday at 4 PM. I'll call for Pizza so it will be a working meeting. Since it is a school night, we will end by 8 PM the latest. We will rehearse songs and bits. I need someone to make angel wings for the earth angel song. I also need other people who are creative to come up with ideas. On Saturday 9/24, we will meet at my house at 8 AM for a last minute rehearsal and then car pool over to the event.

I am writing a scene for my 4 main characters at age 20 something: Tanya, Jordan, Soph, and Kristin.

I need footage to go with "Tired Again" . Now we will have Jordan go to the hospital and whoever the parents are, they can be the adoptive couple in the montage. I can get the town to give us the same set up, maybe Carolyn can bring some "Nursey stuff" I have some stuff too including scrubs. No, we won't show anything, just huffin and puffin and a scream or two; Jordan, this will be your time to have some fun with the role.

I think our last baby (Britney's baby brother ) my be too old, if someone has a new baby, let me know, if not, we best move on with the scene as he is getting bigger (assuming he is available).

Oh No, Now Jordan what did we tell you about that guy!

We will need Soph, Tanya, Kristin, and our now expecting Jordan for a scene. I know just the place in Merrimack. It will be in the woods by Wildcat falls. I also want a scene with Jordan and me at Currier Orchard. This should be fun, especially for Jordan and Tanya because I want to give them the more interesting lines. I need to work on this a bit and will call you guys by this weekend to schedule the shoot. We need some "tormented" scenes without sound for the song I want to use for this scene. I have a good concept and will flesh it out over the week ahead.
I am still waiting to hear from Jenn for the studio. I have the 24' screen and the perfect animated backdrop. This will be special. I also want to get lyrics for the "Becky Song" and see if Soph and Kendra can sing them at Highland Studios.
FYI guys, Post Production will be just as intense and even longer than the shooting over the summer. Making movies is hard work, I know you all beleive in this project and know that I ask so much because I know you can do it and it is all needed to make this magical rather than mediocre. Too much of what I see on the screen is just that. We can do better and I really hope this movie will lead to a lot of "I knew her when".

Hey sweet 16's, I feel bad we never got the footage of the fair (first unruly people and second with a downpour). How about 3 times a charm!
Now that all the fairs are coming to NH and I thought it would be great to get some footage and have fun too. I know people at the Deerfield Fair so that would probably be the one. It is usually like the second week in October. Call me or drop me a line at daddysgirlmovie@gmail.com. If I can get you guys all in one place again, that would be great. Let me know if people are available.

BTW, let me know about the High Hopes (Saturday 9/24 from 9 AM -5 PM) and Parade (in December) events too. I am also looking into interviews on local shows and nationally syndicated TV shows. Stay tunned.

Soph and Kendra, the green screen just came in. I will try to iron it by Saturday and will check with Jenn for availablity of the studio. I still love Sophie's idea for a stage but have not had much luck, maybe this is a job for Sacha; she is so resourceful. Either way, I like the green screen as an option. I have looked into backdrops with a stage and they are in the $400-500 range. Soph/Kendra, Let me know what your schedule looks like for the next week or so.

What's next?

Funny you should ask, well the editing classes need to start. Soph, Lauren, and Sacha will be editing. Let's all relax this weekend and call me Tuesday to set up a scheudule. First priority is the trailer. We have a media event for Saturday Sept 24th in Merrimack. I would like as many volunteers as I can get to attend the High Hopes block party. High Hopes grants wishes to kids with serious illnesses some of them are terminal. I can't think of a better cause to link up with. The Block Party starts at 9 AM and goes on for the most of the day (I think it ends at 6PM). I would like to get as many volunteers as I can to help out. Please call me if you are interested.
I still have people's shirts so call me to arrange to get yours. Eryn, I forgot, I got an extra one for your grandma, stop by when you can to get it. I am sure she would love it.
For the month of September, we will focus mostly on this event and in getting the editing moving along. Patrick, I will finally call you, promise!,,; but not until the weekend is over.

By October, our website should be up. Jenn Lemoine has volunteered her expertise to do a logo for the movie (Pretty cool, thanks Jenn). We have been blessed with so much talent and support from not just the cast but the parents as well. Thanks to everyone! Watch for the update for a Halloween party.

By November, we will be doing the glam shots and TV and radio. I will also do a presentation to the Merrimack BOS and would like a big turn out of the cast.

December will have a Christmas Party at my house with a showing of the MOVIE. This should be the best time.

From January to March (the first festival), we will try to get more media interviews. Cross promotion is important and we will do as many tie ins as possible.

For all those that couldn't make the wrap party, we all missed you. I hope we can see you again (Some of these people are planning to come to the Xmas party so there is hope)

Jordan, I found some great music that has inspired me to write a scene for you and Kristin. I am waiting to get the artist approval and will call you.

We still have to do the green screen shot of the Beckys, ( a new 24' screen is on the way), I need the "shoes" shots, nature shots (I will be going up north to get some early morning and evening shots), and I may need to redo the hummingbird scene with Angie (I'll let you know). I will also go through all the footage to see if any retakes are needed. This is probably something the editing team can help me with.

Thanks to everyone for their hard work and support. Special thanks to Nat for her card and the flowers (you know, that's the first time in my life anyone sent Me flowers) and Kristin for her "unbirthday"card. It was very thoughtful of you both.

Horay, we made it! Thanks to everyone for all their hard work. We have a couple of small shots including Soph and Kendra doing the "Becky Dance" on stage. I'm hoping to do this at 11:30 PM at the MyAct theater at Wasserman Park say this Thursday. I also need to go to Noises off with Kristin to get us in the audience, and finally some more Eddie and Kristin shots for the dating montage. Hey did someone say Par Tay! Well plans are in the works for the wrap party. The wrap party is Friday September 2 at my house. We start at 3 PM and go to whenever. I would ask everyone to bring a side dish to share. I'll have plenty of other stuff so no one should go hungry, or thirsty for that matter. If anyone can't make it. please call me so we can get you your cast shirt. Feel free to bring family and friends along. Yes your kid sister too! It will be fun for all ages. Bring a bathing suit for the pool and or hot tub. Later, we will start a fire and make smores (Soph, I'll entrust this assignment to you). I will also be working on a trailer for the movie and an out take reel for the party. If anyone wants to come and help out, let me know. We still have much to do but the really hard part is almost over. I will be calling you in for media events once we are futher along in editing. I hope none of you are "camera shy". Lastly, Mike has volunteered to be our grill cook so if the marinade has too much garlic, you know who the talk to. ( I'm lucky if I can figure out how to do shake and bake). I am really looking forward to this party. We have all worked so very hard. We have become close and like any family at times we laughed, at times we got mad, and other times just frustrated, but we never lost sight of what we are doing, the craft..., the art of movie making; I am so blessed to have found you wonderful and talented people. I hope as we move to the future, we can all stay as a "family". While there seems to be a lot of people in this business, I believe we need to make connections with people, especially people we have grown fond of. Before everyone leaves, I'd like to get everyones names, addresses, phone and cell phone numbers. This way, if someone wants to contact you, we have a way to connect (yes I know I have a list but it is not complete). Thanks again to everyone who has made this film work, you should all take a bow!

Here we have the lovely Jennifer Lemoine thinking, this guy has got to be crazy! Just how many takes do we gotta do!

Actually we had a blast, Everytime she gave me a face, I would laugh. Jenn is a real character.

For Wed we have Kendra and Sophie coming here at 2 PM to practice the "Becky Dance". Eddie, come over around 2:45. We will film from 3-5 in the woods then to the studio from 5-6:30 for the green screen shots. from 6:30-7:30 dinner break

At 7:30, I need everyone at my house. This includes Soph, Kristin, Eddie, Kevin, Lauren, and Sacha is she is available. Sacha, call me, we need the blood, do you have any left? If not, I'll go out and get some. We will have Kevin playing the police officer and we film the ambulance scene at 8:30. That should go from 8:30-10PM, then we film the drive scene which will go from 10 Pm to 1 AM. Yup, a long night.

For Thursday, I'm looking to do some if not all scenes locally. Since we will do this, we can sleep a little later, say a start around 10 AM. I will update this on Wed but that is what I'm shooting for. I am also looking to film the dog scenes with boyfriends, the hand off of the ballerina, and Kayleigh's scenes.

For Friday, 11 AM-4 PM film Eddie and Kristin in Cape Ann, I will need a sound person, 5PM-6:45 PM film Pride game, Lauren, we will do the dolly so if you , Rachael, and Soph are avail, great, we could use the help. This should be the last shot

Hi Nat and Kristin, sorry guys, just got in from tonight's shoot and it was too late to call. It went long but we got good footage, which for my acting ability, is saying a lot. Mike did not get a confirmation on the farm in Hollis so I will need to scramble a little in the morning. I hope everyone is reading this, if so, please come at 10 AM not 9 AM. This will give me extra time to get a location for the horse scenes as well as the other farm scenes. Most of this is non verbal and is just for filler. We also need Kristin to drive around town in the convertable with Sophie for the intro scene as well as Nat for coming out of the car (her "new car") and house exterior shots, etc. I also need Angie and Kendra. Angie bring your bike. Both Kristin and Angie need to wear the intro clothes to their scenes (scene 1 for Angie, and the opening scene for the 20's for Kristin). For the horse scenes, check the clothes you were wearing that day, all other scenes are in any clothes but bring say 4 changes so we get a little variety. I will try to get it done by 3 PM or so as I know we will get a lot of stuff on Thursday as well. So in summary, I need Soph, Kristin, Angie, Nat, and Kendra from 10 AM to about 3 Pm today (Tuesday).

Well Somehow it appears appropriate the pride game is now our movie bookends. We did this scene first and now we need to do it last. Unfortunately, this is all my fault as I had to leave curteousy of the ambulance. We need to do the intro scene with robin using the dolly and camera crane. We also need to do part of the stand scene over (just the end where I come back with the sodas. I have this scheduled for Friday at 5 PM, everyone please call me to let me know you can make it.

Here we have Tory and Emma with the rest of their "make believe family" Cherie (Erica) and Marianne (Eryn). As filming winds down, it is kind of sad that this was the last time we worked together on the film. Oh well, all good things come to an end and we need to wind things down.
Here are the latest updates:

Monday:6 Pm-11PM
For Monday, we will meet at my house around 6:15 Pm to do a shoot at Judi's house for the 5 Grammy rooms scenes. Judi has a farmers porch so we can do the Sacha scene on the porch. Kevin will do the camera work and Soph or Sacha can do the sound.

Tuesday:9 AM-5PM then 10 PM-1 AM
I am still waiting to hear on the farm for Tuesday so stay tuned, this will involve Soph, Kayleigh,Angie, Nat, Kendra, and Kristin. (the horseback riding scenes using the dolly). We can also film at the Jopa road site, currier farms for the drop off scene, and if we have time, I would like to do the "Becky dance" at twin bridge park. I also want to green screen and then choose the best one. Later that night at 10 PM, we will film the accident scene.
Wednesday: Est 1 PM-3:30 PM
The green screen shoots (Sophie and Kendra, will announce the time)

Thursday: 9 AM(my house)-9PM (then home from Conway)
Back to the White Mountains
Sorry Guys but the scenes were rushed and do not look very good. We also did not get the important transition scenes or any Eddie and Kristin dating scenes. I would like to return to the white mountains for the entire day with the same actors. (Nat, Kristin, Eddie, Soph, and Angie) We need to use the camera crane, we need to get angie on her bike over the bridge. I will ask to keep Jeff's convertable til Friday, he's a great guy so I expect he will have pity on me. We have worked too hard to accept second best, please make every effort to be there. We will return home after sunset.

Still just a big kid!.....Schedule update 8/21

Here we have Mike (Angie's Dad) wishing the bike was a motorcycle. Both Mike and Karen are avid motorcyclist and I expect Angie will be one day too.

We are set for today (Sunday) and we will be off on Monday. For Tuesday, I want to film all day. This will involve Kristin, Sophie, Kayleigh, Nat, Kendra, Angie, and Eddie. We will also film the car sequence at night so we will brake around 6 Pm and return at 10 PM. I am hoping to film at the Joppa Road and Hollis farms, around town, and neighboring towns. We need some Eddie/Kristin dating stuff, and more intro film. On Wednesday, I would like to film the "becky dance" to a green screen at broadway bound (Kendra and Soph); the boyfriends at the door scene (note we need the black lab- I did not get the guys name, anyone know who he is, he is the parent to one of he girls, sorry I just forgot) and Wednesday night, all the night Grammy scenes (Me and Judi). For Thursday, I would like to get lots of exterior shots with several cast members (Soph, Nat, Kristin, Eddie,Kendra, Angie, and some more to be named) This may be back in the White mountains, I'll let you know, I want to see how the footage came out, the sunset's in particular (it really should be a camera crane shot).
For Friday, I would like Eddie and Kristin to do more dating sequences in the Cape Ann area.

Save Sat and Sunday for any retakes, I will go through the footage and see if we need to redo anything. The goal is to be done by Sunday 8/28.

Coming down the home stretch, schedule update

Well we are moving along and it is almost done. I have revised and condensed as much as I can to make the goal line. Here is the schedule:
Saturday 8/20: Car scene cancelled- Hopefully Mike can get the car for later in the week but If anyone else has a car we can use, preferably a convertable but at this point, I'll settle for something on wheels, please call me; we only have a week left to go!

Sunday 8/21: 11:30-3PM, my house, we will do last Sunday's scenes which were postponed due to illness, hope you girls are better! (Tory, Emma, Erica, etc). I need a camera person and a sound person.

For the rest of the day shooting is cancelled. Sorry Angie and Kendra, Still waiting to hear on the farm in Hollis. I will use the time to try and find a farm on my own. I'll let you know.

Monday-Sunday, stay tunned, I will try to get it posted and in place asap.

Your dedication is really appreciated. I would also like to thank Jennifer Lemoine and Mike and Karen Berube. All took off from work to come up for the shoot. Thanks so much. Here we have our key grip Mike, hard at work at our fourth of July shoot. Mike came today to work on the trailer and will return tomorrow to finish so we are ready for our big trip up north. Mike is amasing, he can do in a couple of hours what would take me days to do. Sometimes it is easy to ignore the people behind the film, after all, we don't see them like the actors, but their contribution is all too important. So here's to Mike, Sacha, Dorothy, Jennifer, Lauren, Rachael, Nat, Kevin, Ben, Eddie and all the helpful parents, thanks guys. WELL WE ARE BOOKED!

The gang is getting together Thursday for the marathon shoot in the White Mountains. I just booked us rooms at the Green Granite Resort (Inside and Outside pools and hot tubs, sauna, work out room, etc.) We also get a great breakfast with the rooms. Naturally, the girls stay in their own room and the same for the guys. Each room has 2 queen beds and we can get roll out beds or if you like, bring airbeds to the rooms (more fun for the sleep over). Sacha, I don't know when you have to get back but maybe you can go for a quick dip in the sauna or hot tub (check in time is 3 PM). This should be way cool and a welcome respite after working all day.

Here's who is staying overnight so far: Eddie, Kevin, Mike/ Sophie, Nat, Kristin, Lauren, Rachael, and Tanya (I think, still haven't heard from her). We will meet Angie and Kendra at 2 Pm on Friday and film til sunset (around 8:30). Then all pack up to go home. Sorry but I could not find any rooms available for that Friday in North Conway (maybe Lincoln but why not just keep going) and I think we all will be ready to head for home by then anyway.

We have a lot of work to do but I am sure we will find time for fun.
See everyone 8 AM sharp at my house on Thursday morning. I still need to book the horses for both days. Sacha, if there is anyway you could stay over, you know we would love to have you. (I got the fixin's for smores!) Anyway, my amiga, you are most welcome if you can make it work.

Prisoner Sophie, public enemy #1

Ya does the crime, ya does the time! Here we have our Sophie being processed in jail! The jail scenes were great and the extra time was worth it. Thanks Soph for being so patient. It is easy to want to rush through the remaining scenes. I am tired too and it has been a lot of work. The important thing to remember is every scence needs to be the best if the magic is to shine through. Once again, our Sophie gave it 110% and made magic, great job Sophie!

For Tuesday, I need help with the trailer so any handy people, please come on down. Wed is a day off. Thursday we meet here at 8 AM. I will try to email you the new scenes. We also may meet our 2 year old Sarah as she will be in Lincoln.

I just got the news from Mike that the house is off. This is a bummer, I will check into lodging and get back to you guys later tonight. We should get something in the Conway/Twin Mountain area, second options would be for Woodstock/Lincoln area. I'll update later tonight.

Travel about 1.5 miles down and on your left side is a Pizza Restaurant called Elvio's. It has the best Sicilian Pizza in NH. Anyway, I'll treat everyone to lunch and then we are off.

Just kidding, but doesn't it look like it. Here we have a poor Sarah all banged up with our doctor Carolyn tending to her needs. Carolyn is a friend of Sacha's who graciously filled in. She did a great job. Thanks so much Carolyn, you were fabulous.
We also filmed Erica and David Shippey in the "Robe's scene" It also went great, Erica did the role just the way it should be, just slightly over the top and David had me believeing he was a leprechan. Thanks guys. I would be remiss to leave out Kristin and Jordan, just perfect! Kudos to Sacha for her wonderful help, to Kevin for all his help and his ideas, I may not agree with them all, but they are useful, and of course Eddie. Special thanks to he Merrimack FD and the gang at the Angus Butcher for all their help.

Sunday we go see Sophie, I will put the schedule out by Monday, Thursday and Friday will not be in the white mountains as Eddie is going to Canada. I am looking to do an all day shoot on Thursday with scenes for the grammy and for Cherie at night. Saturday 8/6
7 AM-7:50 AM My house for rehersal for "Robes" scenes. This includes Eddie, Erica, Jordan, Kristin, and David Shippy. We will film these 2 scenes ( scene 69 and 11) from 8-9:15AM locally
Note, I need to revise scene 11, I'll email it out later this afternoon.
9:30-10:15 costume changes and make up for hospital scene with Kristin on gurney and Dad.
10:30-11:30 Film scene Kristin, MD, and me we need a person for the MD, Kevin are you available? I don't think we used you yet. I have scrubs and all the MD stuff.

I have a TV interview scheduled for 6 PM on Monday August 8th. If you want to join me, give me a call. I will get the rest of the schedule out by Monday. Keep Thursday/Friday open for the white mountains. I'll get back to everyone by Monday with a complete schedule for the remained of the film.

the new schedule as of 8/4

Here we have the stable Ben who apparently was the one who called for the ambulance. (I was a bit out of it at the time). Thanks Ben, he also finished the shoot which was my main concern. Thanks also to Sacha who was there when I got home from the hospital and to all the people who were concerned. In short, I'm ok, just need to slow down a bit (which is hard for me to do).
For Saturday, I'm looking to change the location to Merrimack for those scenes. We can do the ribbit scene another day so Angie and Kendra are off the hook (I'm not sure Kendra will be back in time and we may be able to do this in the white mountains) Everyone can meet at my house before we head out. Stay tunned for details on the hospital scene and Robes which I will try to do at a Merrimack store/Merrimack FD. The real Robes was recently sold and is now under renovations from the new owner. we have not been able to contact this owner so I am pursuing another option.
I will update the schedule on Sunday, Thursday will be an all day shoot in the white mountains with Friday as an alternative in case of rain. I will check schedules to fill in our final scenes and get back to people.

Sophie's going hollywood

Well it had to happen, so much talent in one person, just had to break out. Sophie's off to check into a recording contract, Oh did I mention she can sing and dance too.

Come out to Fame to see her so you can say you knew her when. Let's all wish Sophie the best of luck. True to the professional she is, Soph will finish our project and we will work around her schedule to ensure her success.

Sophie will have company in Hollywood as Ben and Eddie are going too. I'm not sure what Ben is doing but Eddie reports he has a good chance to be on the crew for a Fox reality show. In the meantime, Eddie is working as the drummer for Stevens and Mack.

We have such talented people, this can only help our project and I hope to see even more break outs. You guys are the best and it is not surprising to me that you will make it big.

Kudos to Sophie, Ben, and Eddie.

Well it appears I'm all on my own with the trailer renovations.

As I am only one person and can only work so many hours, I will have to cancel all editing until further notice. There will be no editing this week and I don't know about next week. I have the softwared developer calling me today about the website (over $1,000 cost), I will have to put him off as it will now be several weeks before a movie trailer is ready. This will also impact the composer who is doing our soundtrack.

I hope to have the trailer ready in time for the white mountain trip. When done, it will have a complete dressing room complete with lighted mirror and fan, a built in cooler for drinks and such, a bathroom, interior lights, and all shelves and cubbys for the equipment, each area marked and padded to avoid any further damage.
I will work as fast as I can to complete it before this trip.

All I can say is I'll do my best.

PS: No changes are planned for Monday 8/1, Wed, 8/3, and Saturday 8/6 at this point. Stay tuned for further updates as we need to do number of "Grammy" scenes.

Here we have the lovely and talented Sophie who is our sweet 16 and 20 something "Becky". Sophie once again did a wonderful performance tonight along with Kristin. Sophie hurt her knee badly (all black and blue) but like the trooper she is, she never let the pain show and just kept on going. Hope you're feeling better real soon Soph.

Losing our "Grammy" hurt too, but like Sophie, we will not let it get to us and we will keep on going. We have now cast a new "Grammy".
Judi Mitchell is a wonderful actress but a bit young for the part. We will need to age her a little and she is a good sport about it. Like Sophie, she is currently in a production but is willing to make the time for this role. It reminds me of the addage, if you want something done, go find the busy man (or woman). Welcome aboard Judi. I should also note David Shippey is coming aboard as Old Man McNally. He was cast for the role about a month ago and we expect to do the shot on Saturday.

Everyone watch for changes in the schedule. Monday (today) will stay the same but I need to change other dates in order to get us back on schedule.

I also need to finish the trailer so it will be useful to us in the white mountains and on all the other shoots. Anyone who is available to help would be appreciated. Some equipment has already been damaged or is now missing (this is several hundred dollars). Hopefully better orgainization will reduce these instances.

Girl Pow' er

Well the Dojo scene was flawless. Seinse Vern was fantastic, a natural actor! The self defense class also went well. At least now, the girls have some moves to defend themselves. The confindence gained is also great. Today we did the hummingbird sequence with Angie (great job). Let's keep on schedule and keep reaching for the stars, or should I say kickin',,, you go girls! Angie has no Grammy!
I am asking for your collective help. We need a grandmother and housekeeper and we need them fast.
Please call me at home with any prospects. I am doing what I can on my end. We also need a convertable car for Sarah for the White Mountain scenes. Anyone with a convertable out there? we could switch cars for two days, we promise to be careful. Let us know. Hang in there guys, We did some great scenes lately, the magic is still there. Dennis
